TACUPA would like to welcome you to its new online home. Our new name, Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators, more accurately reflects the strength of our membership and enables us to more effectively communicate with our Legislators in Austin. The new look of the Association's official website continues to project the ideals of police professionalism you have come to expect from your organization and brings a new connectivity and interactivity to the campus law enforcement administrative environment. TACUPA is continuing to evolve in its mission, fulfilling the role foreseen by its early founders; that of providing a medium for problem solving and the development of resources for those of us working in an ever-changing and innovative area of policing.
"With the spirit possessed by each member of this Association, we can only continue to move forward”, as stated by Chief Bill G. Daniels at the first meeting of the Association, in the Red Raider Room, Pioneer Hotel, Lubbock, Texas.
Please utilize the navigation bar on the left to enter the body of the site and find that our mission statement reflects the pride, integrity, and commitment with which we undertake the task of professional police services to our various communities. The History page provides a glimpse into the heart of the Association, from its humble beginnings at the University of Texas at Austin in 1964 to its use of current, state-of-the-art technologies employed throughout the state. View the Association's Constitution and By-laws, catch up on current items of interest both within and without the organization, or check for upcoming Conference information. You'll find online forms and surveys and links to other pertinent happenings around the state, the country, and the globe.
While you're perusing the site, please keep in mind that it is your website. The TACUPA site shall stay as current as possible for the benefit of all members. If you have comments, suggestions, or corrections for this site, please email webadmin.
